The call of Abram

Abram was 75 when God said go. Most of us hear that and skip past it. Don’t.

You are in a season where a lot of voices are telling you that now is the time. Now is when you have to figure it out. Now is when the next opportunity matters most. If you don’t lock it in by 25, by 30, by 35, you have fallen behind.

Genesis 12 says no. Abram is 75 — three-quarters of a long life — and the Father says, now we begin. The biggest call of his life has not happened yet. The chapter that defines him in Scripture has not been written.

That ought to take a lot of pressure off your twenties.

The Father is not running on the world’s clock. Your story is not behind. You are not too late. You are also not too early. You are exactly when you are. And the same Father who said go to Abram at 75 is shaping you right now in the go he is going to give you when it is time.

One small thing today: name one go that the Father might be whispering — not the giant life-shifting one, just the next small one. A conversation. A confession. A reach-out. A quiet yes. Take that step. The bigger gos are downstream of the small ones.
