Moses' blessing and death — a vista, not an arrival

Moses climbed Mt. Nebo. He saw the promised land. He did not enter it.

That is one of the hardest lessons in the Bible to receive. The greatest leader of the Old Testament did not get to finish the work. He got the vista, not the arrival.

You are at an age where you assume the work you start is the work you will finish. I will do this. I will see this. I will be the one to bring it to completion. Sometimes that is true. Sometimes the Father gives you a vista instead.

This is not a failure. It is part of how the kingdom moves forward. One generation sees. The next generation enters. Both are part of the same story.

One small thing today: in a place where you have been demanding a finish line you may not get to cross, take a Moses move. Climb the mountain. Look at the view. Bless the next generation. Let the Father carry the rest.
