Moses' song — and a Moses psalm to read with it
The closing line of Psalm 90 is one of the most beautiful prayers in the Bible. Establish the work of our hands for us! Yes, establish the work of our hands! (Ps 90:17).
Establish. Make it last. Don’t let it be in vain. Make it count.
Marriages need this prayer. So much of what you build — the home, the kids, the routines, the prayers, the quiet faithfulness — will not be visible until decades later. Sometimes never visible to you in your lifetime.
Moses’ prayer is the marriage prayer. Father, establish what we are building. Make our small daily faithfulness count for something. Don’t let it be wasted.
He answers that prayer. Not always in our timeline. But He answers.
One small thing this week: pray Psalm 90:17 over your marriage out loud together. Father, establish the work of our hands. Then keep working — knowing He is the one who makes it last.
