Moses' song — and a Moses psalm to read with it
The opening line of Moses’ psalm is one of the most layered sentences in Scripture. Lord, You have been our refuge in every generation (Ps 90:1).
Every generation. Hers. Her mother’s. Her grandmother’s. Her great-great-grandmother’s. He has been refuge through all of them.
Many women carry awareness of generations of women who came before them — known and unknown. Lines of mothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers. Some of those lines were strong. Some were broken. Some carried trauma you are still working through. Psalm 90 says the same Father has been refuge through every one of them.
The line that came down to you is held. The line you are passing forward is held. He is refuge.
One small thing today: name one woman in your generational line — known or unknown to you — and thank the Father for being her refuge. Receive the inheritance of being held by the same God she was.
