Choose life — the heart circumcised
Marriages can outwardly do all the right things and inwardly be hard.
You go to church together. You serve together. You read the books. You go to the conferences. And the heart between you stays cold. The duties are kept. The love is dim.
This is the external circumcision problem. The outer signs are there. The inner reality has not been transformed. Deuteronomy 30 says no — the LORD will circumcise the heart.
Marriages need this. Not just outward fidelity. Heart-level transformation. Where the love for each other is no longer manufactured but given — the Father softening what was hard, warming what was cold, restoring what was tired.
One small thing this week: pray together for the heart of your marriage. Father, circumcise our hearts toward each other. Receive what only He can do.
