Through the lens of Man

Blessings and curses — the shape of covenant

A man who has internalized that Christ took the curse is a man who can stop punishing himself.

Most men I know carry a low-grade conviction that they are under judgment. The failures of their twenties. The choices in their marriage that didn’t go well. The mistakes with their kids. The compromise at work. The pattern they keep falling into. They are waiting for the cost to come due.

Galatians 3:13 says no. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. The cost has already come due. On Him. The judgment hit. The verdict landed. And the verdict was not yours.

This is liberating. Not because sin doesn’t matter. Because Christ matters more. Your failure has been answered by His obedience. Your curse has been absorbed by His blood.

One small thing today: in a moment of self-condemnation, picture the cross. That is where the curse landed. Stop punishing what Christ already paid for. Walk forward.
