Through the lens of Young married

A prophet like Moses

Most marriages have a thousand voices in them. Parents. In-laws. Friends. Pastors. Counselors. Podcasts. Books. Each other’s opinions. The voices stack up.

The Father’s primary command for any home is the same as His command from the cloud. Listen to Him. The Son is the prophet. His voice is the one that should be loudest.

Most marriages don’t read the Gospels together. They read books about Jesus. They listen to sermons about Jesus. They argue about what Jesus would do. They rarely sit with His actual words together.

One small thing this week: pick one short passage of Jesus’ words — even five verses — and read it together. Out loud. Listen. What is He saying? What is He inviting? Don’t try to apply it before you have heard it.
