A prophet like Moses
The most important command of the New Testament might be the one God the Father shouted from a cloud at the Mount of Transfiguration. “This is My Son, the Beloved; I take delight in Him. Listen to Him!” (Matt 17:5).
Listen to Him. That is what God said about Jesus.
You are at an age where you have been listening to a thousand voices. Algorithms. Friends. Influencers. Pastors. Authors. Family. Your own anxiety. The Father says — listen to Him. Above all the others.
Deuteronomy 18:15 prepared the soil. A prophet like Moses… you must listen to him. Jesus is the Prophet. He has spoken. The Gospels are full of His voice. Open them. Read what He said. Listen.
One small thing today: pick one passage of Jesus’ actual words — Sermon on the Mount, John 14–17, the parables. Read it slowly. Listen to Him as if He is talking directly to you. Don’t strategize the application. Just listen.
