A prophet like Moses
A man who has internalized that Christ is the prophet greater than Moses is a man whose life gets simpler.
Most of us are looking for a thousand inputs to know what to do. What does this teacher say? What does that book say? What is the trending Christian opinion on this issue? We become collectors of fragments.
Deuteronomy 18 simplifies it. Listen to Him. The voice the Father wanted you to hear is the voice of His Son.
You don’t need a hundred teachers. You need to listen to one. The other teachers, when they are good, are pointing at Him. When they are bad, they are competing with Him. Listen to Him sorts most of the noise out.
One small thing today: when you are tempted to consult ten voices on a decision, consult His first. Sit with the Gospels. Pray. Ask. Listen. Then move.
