Remember — manna and what humbles you
Most of us treat the wilderness as a problem to escape.
You are in a hard season. You want it to end. You read books to optimize your way through it. You strategize the exit. The wilderness is something you are trying to outrun.
Deuteronomy 8 reframes everything. The Father led you on the entire journey these forty years in the wilderness, so that He might humble you and test you to know what was in your heart.
The wilderness was deliberate. It was the school the Father chose for forming His people. It surfaced what was in their hearts. It taught them they could not live on bread alone.
If you are in a hard season right now, the Father has not abandoned you. He is teaching you what is in your heart. Not to crush you. To reveal you to yourself so He can transform what you find.
One small thing today: in your hard season, instead of asking how do I get out? ask what is the Father showing me about my heart that I had not seen before? Listen for what comes.
