Through the lens of Young adult

The Shema asks for all of you. Heart. Soul. Strength.

You are at an age where you tend to give God one slice of yourself. Sunday. The hour you spend reading. The serving slot you signed up for. The rest of your week, you live as if He is somewhere else.

The Shema says no. Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. Not with the church-y part of yourself. All of you. The Tuesday version. The exhausted Friday version. The dating life. The career strategy. The Instagram. The body. The mind. All of it.

This is good news, not bad news. The Father wants the whole you, including the parts you have been hiding from Him. Especially those parts.

One small thing today: name one part of your life you have been keeping out of the with all — your money, your time, your relationships, your phone. Bring it under the Shema today. Love Him there too.
