Through the lens of Man

Korah's rebellion

Most men I know secretly want a bigger position than they have.

The bigger ministry. The bigger company. The bigger paycheck. The bigger room. The bigger reach. They would never call it Korah’s rebellion. They would call it vision. Or ambition. Or stewardship. But underneath, the engine is often the same — I want more than I have been given.

Christ took the opposite posture. He emptied Himself. The eternal Son of God laid down equality with the Father — not because He had to, but because He chose to. That is the greatest descent in the universe. And the Father exalted Him because He laid it down.

The Bible’s pattern is consistent. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled. Whoever humbles himself will be exalted (Matt 23:12). The way up is down. Always.

One small thing today: name one position you have been grasping at. Lay it down. Pray Christ’s prayernot my will, but Yours. Receive whatever the Father gives next, however small.
