Through the lens of Man
Miriam, Aaron, and the humility of Moses
The Bible’s description of Moses is striking. He was a very humble man, more so than anyone on the face of the earth (Num 12:3).
That is the Father’s headline about His most influential leader. Not he was strong. Not he was decisive. Not he was brilliant. He was humble. The most humble.
Most cultural pictures of mature manhood do not include humility at the top. Strong, capable, decisive, competent, providing. All good. All can become idols.
The Father places humility at the center of the man He used most. Why? Because a humble man can be led. A humble man can receive correction. A humble man can let the Father be his defender without needing to do it himself. A humble man does not crack under criticism.
Most of the men I admire most have this. Not weakness — humility. They know who they are. They don’t need to prove it.
One small thing today: in a moment of being criticized today, take a Moses move. Don’t defend. Let it sit. Pray. Trust the Father with your reputation. Watch what the humility does.
