The Year of Jubilee — rest, release, restoration
You are at an age where the word debt hangs over a lot of decisions. School debt. Credit debt. Relational debt. The vague sense that you owe something to your parents, your friends, your culture, your future self.
Leviticus 25 says — the Father built debt forgiveness into His economy. Every seven years, the cancellation. Every fifty years, the full reset. He never meant for debt to define a life.
And in Luke 4, Jesus stands in His hometown synagogue and says — Jubilee is here. I am it.
If you have been living as if your past has put you in a hole you can’t climb out of, Christ is the trumpet. The debt has been forgiven. The captivity has been ended. The land is being returned. Not metaphorically. Really.
This does not solve every financial debt overnight. But it dissolves the spiritual debt you have been carrying — the conviction that you are behind, broken, disqualified by what’s happened.
One small thing today: name one debt you have been treating as permanent. Hand it to the Jubilee Christ. He is the trumpet. The Year of the LORD’s favor is now.
