Through the lens of Young married

Glory fills the tabernacle

Marriages have moments when the glory of God settles in.

The first time you held your child. The night you finally apologized after months of distance. The breakthrough in counseling. The healing you didn’t see coming. The unexpected word from a friend that broke open something hard. The cloud descends. Even briefly. The room feels different.

Most marriages don’t name those moments. We move on too quickly. We chalk it up to coincidence. We let the glory pass without acknowledgement. By year ten, we have had dozens of glory moments and remember almost none of them.

The Israelites couldn’t move when the cloud settled. They camped. They paid attention. They knew that this was where the Father had chosen to dwell for now.

One small thing this week: name one moment in your marriage when you knew the glory had settled — even briefly. Tell your spouse about it. Mark it. Build a small memorial. The cloud was here.
