Through the lens of Young adult

Glory fills the tabernacle

For forty years, Israel followed a visible presence. By day a cloud. By night a fire. They moved when the cloud moved. They camped when the cloud settled.

You are at an age where you spend a lot of energy trying to figure out the next year. You want a five-year plan. You want clarity about the relationship, the city, the job, the calling.

Exodus 40 paints a different picture. The cloud led them one move at a time. Sometimes for a day. Sometimes for a week. Sometimes for months. They never knew how long they’d stay or where the cloud would take them next. They just watched and moved when it moved.

The Father is still leading like that. He gives you the next step, not the whole map. Most of your anxiety is the result of trying to live ten years ahead of where the cloud is.

One small thing today: instead of asking where will I be in five years, ask where is the cloud right now? Watch what He shows you for the next 24 hours. Move when it moves. He is not in a hurry to get you anywhere except with Him.
